Juno and the Paycock IMDb.

Published Written in English. Read this book on Questia. From inside the book. This was one of Alfred Hitchcock's earliest sound features, but it really is a photographed stage play for the most part. Pictorial notices, consisting of a memoir of Sir Anthony Van Dyck, with a descriptive catalogue of the etchings executed by him, and a variety of interesting particulars relating to other artists patronized by Charles I.

But I don't like talking about my work at all. I can't stand the early stuff like Juno and The Plough as a matter of fact. Realism comes too easy in a way. I think I can create a character and put dialogue into his mouth but I'm not satisfied to do that only. We are also convinced that it evidences a global coherence in the theatre of Sean O'Casey, in so far as Juno is made of ingredients that we now find characterize the whole of his drama. We can even claim that Juno very accurately foreshadows some of the favourite themes, characters and dramatic approaches of the later plays.

Charles Bentham is an important figure in the play Juno and the Paycock , although he only appears in person during the end of Act I and principally in Act II.
