What lovely weather we’re having at the moment!? Perfect weather for ducks and filling up our seasonal ponds but not quite so great for cutting scrub and making bonfires! To give the gorse and blackthorn some time to dry out and make it easier to burn, we’re postponing our Scrub and Spuds day scheduled for this Saturday (9 November) until next Saturday 16 November. Same time same place, sorry if this means you can’t make it.
Join us in our annual efforts to clear gorse and blackthorn and promote greater biodiversity in our valuable coastal habitats on Pentire Head. To reward your efforts we’ll cook up a jacket spud lunch on the bonfire.
Meet: Lead Mines car park, Pentire SW 942 799 PL27 6QY
Bring: any extra jacket potato fillings you would like (we’ll provide cheese and beans).
Day starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm unless otherwise stated
Tools, gloves and tuition: all provided by National Trust
Bring: food and drink, footwear and clothing suitable for the weather and task
Booking: Please call the Rangers on 01208 863821
