We have a busy weekend coming up……

…. the summer holidays may be over but September is looking busy in Cornwall, starting with beach cleans, the World Bodyboard Championships, a charity surf film screening and orienteering this weekend….

This Saturday and Sunday we are looking for volunteer help with a couple of beach cleans –

Saturday 7th September head on down to Holywell Bay and help the rangers tidy up this stunning beach. Tea and cake provided.

Meet: Holywell car park, SW 767 587 TR8 5PF

Sunday 8th September we have our second beach clean of the weekend at Northcott beach, Nr Bude

Once again you are invited to come and help our ranger teams clean our beaches. For this one, no need to book. Meet us at Northcott Car park (Grid Ref: SS205084)
Day starts at 10am and finish 4pm (or earlier to suit)

For BOTH beach cleans all tools and tuition provided but please bring clothes that can get muddy, stout footwear and food and drink

Then on the afternoon of Sunday 8 September, after our beach cleaning endeavours on the Saturday, come down and join us to try Orienteering at Holywell!

Explore the Holywell dunes with Cornwall Orienteering Club and put your map reading skills to the test. An all age adventure, suitable for beginners right through to expert explorers, there will be a range of different courses to take on. Walk, jog or run, it’s up to you. We can provide you with advice and maps to try out orienteering in this stunning coastal landscape. All finished off with a BBQ, what could be better?

Meet at Holywell car park, SW 767 587, TR8 5PF

Start the course anytime between 3.00pm and 5.00pm
Dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for walking around the sand dunes. Bring a compass if you have one though not essential for the easier courses. Bring a picnic/ food to cook on the BBQ.

Adults £7 per orienteering kit, children (under the age of 16) £3 per orienteering kit.
Parking charges apply to non-National Trust members.
