This Saturday 22 June North Cornwall National Trust is joining forces with Polzeath based Cornish Rock Tors, which has been selected as one of just three firms in North Cornwall selected to promote the conservation message to coastal visitors, along with sister company Cornish Sea Tours and Bude based activity centre Outdoor Adventure.
This week we are excited to offer the most exciting and challenging form of the favourite family activity, Rock Pooling (Ecoasteering).
Ecoasteering is based around our popular coasteering sessions, where you’ll learn about safety in coastal zones, marine life conservation in the inter-tidal zones, the science behind tides and the local geology.
Ecoasteering is a more extreme version of one of your favourite beach activities, rock pooling. Of course there will be the challenge of jumps, climbs and caves along the way to finding some of the weird and wonderful marine life located on our shores. The session will be tailored differently to a normal Coasteering session with more of an emphasis on finding and learning about the marine life and local area and following the seashore code as we go.
We want to combine this day of fun with giving a little back and have a good clear up along the way and on the beach.
Leap, swim and scramble your way around some of the amazing intertidal zones under the watchful and helpful eyes of the Coasteering Instructors. Minimum age 8+
