I wasn’t able to make Boscastle as I was still in London after witnessing the Diamond Jubilee Pageant. In the man powered section one of the gigs was trailing a familiar green flag with an acorn and oak leaves. Could this have been ‘The Cream of Cornwall’ from Cotehele, or was there another National Trust related rowing boat on the Thames?? Later on one of the boats was flying the most enormous St. Piran’s flag. I had to enlighten the crowd around me this was the Cornish flag. Strange how the National Trust’s flag is more recognisable than Cornwall’s!
