Our most handy moment this month:

The Boscastle to Morwenstow conservation volunteers have been busy this month maintaining foot paths, checking for Dormice and doing the ever-present beach cleans. But our most handy moment has to go to the new handrail at Minster Bridge, Valency Valley, Boscastle.

After Jostling up the valley with tools, oak timber, and  a top-heavy wheelbarrow/generator combo, we made it to the bridge. Remarkably we had no major complications, and our volunteer team put their skills to the test installing the new handrail. For those of you tramping up through Valency Valley, it should now be a safer crossing over the river. Let us know what you think……

Join us on our next expedition. Dates coming up are:

May 13th 10am-4pm– Beach clean and rock pool survey at Northcott mouth Nr Bude. meet at the car park.

May 19th & 20th 10am-3pm Boscastle Balsam Bash. help us get rid of this invasive plant in the Valency Valley. Meet in Boscastle overflow car park both days, and don’t forget your lunch and wellies!! all tools and equipment provided.
