Mark Harold, our NT Director for the South West is currently on a mammoth 75o mile charity cycle ride, raising money for the Prostate Cancer Charity as well as National Trust projects. His team set out on April 28th with the challenge of visiting 34 National Trust properties, in 7 counties in just 12 days!. To do this means making a zig-zag course seven times between north and south coasts between Hidcote Manor in Gloucestershire and the finish at Lizard Point.
Dropping in at Polzeath Marine Centre, Mark met with property staff and our partners at Cornwall Wildlife Trust. Working with them and Cornwall Council the National Trust in North cornwall are hosting a seasonal volunteeer marine wildlife warden – Rosie Ellis. Her time is shared working as a traditional NT Ranger with organising the running of the marine centre volunteers, training courses and busy summer season of events.
