Welcome to our new Full Time Volunteer

The National Trust and Cornwall Wildlife Trust would like to welcome and introduce you to our new shared Full Time Volunteer – Rosie Ellis.

“I am a new volunteer based at Pentireglaze, near Polzeath, splitting my time between the National Trust and the Polzeath Voluntary Marine Conservation Area (VMCA).

I have always loved being near, in or on the sea and since staying here as a child have loved Polzeath and the surrounding area with its stunning scenery. I am so excited to have a chance to live in this amazing region and am looking forward to getting lots of hands on experience in coastal conservation, spending time surrounded by the wealth of incredible wildlife we are helping to protect.

I have just graduated in Environmental Sciences and now really want to focus in on coastal and marine conservation work. So this opportunity is brilliant experience for me.

When not working with the National Trust rounding up ponies, maintaining miles of coastal paths and digging lots of holes for fences and the like, I can be found helping the local VMCA group, either at the Marine Centre next to the pitch and putt in Polzeath or at one of the may events.
