A walk around Boscastle in North Cornwall. Even in the hight of summer, it's possible to see barely another soul on a two hour walk. Where do you go to find some solitude?

Out with the old, in with the new. @rangerchrisnorthcornwall and the whole team has been down in the deepest, darkest depths of Chipman Valley, replacing a very tired looking tanalised rotten bridge with a new bespoke oak one. Hope those on the coast-path enjoy the crossing. Cloudy skies at Sandymouth

Summer! The @rnli are out looking after you on the beach, and are there for advice as well. They know the local things to look out for, the tides, the rip currents, and anything else that you might need to know about the beach. Please follow their instructions for surf safety, and don't forget on these hot days to drink lots of water, keep the sunscreen topped up, cover up if you might burn, and don't over do it in the sun ☀

Today is #worldrangerday There are rangers throughout the world. Some protect elephants from poachers, whilst the rangers in North Cornwall help look after wildlife, maintain and improve access for visitors, and engage with the public through volunteering opportunities and events. So today @nationaltrustranger and the team prepped for this evening's bat night, removed some ragwort, did a Big Butterfly Count, and levelled out a water trough (disturbing a magpie (?) moth in the process).
